This is my first blog. As I journey on this path of self transformation, I continue to discover the essence of Bharat. It is to share these personal discoveries that I am starting to write.
We begin with Ganesha. Why Ganesha? To understand why, we must first understand the culture. Bharat is a culture where deities are consciously crafted to open certain possibilities within a human being. Let’s remember that the culture has human transformation and liberation at its very core. Ganesha is such a deity that allows a human to move from silence within to the uncontrollable elements of the world outside – making a transition that is most organized and balanced.
Why does that transition have to be balanced? In this world, every action has a consequence. If we are to create situations of our choice, our actions must be such that they allow the highest probability for our imagination to manifest in the world outside. Therefore, before we may touch the world with our actions, we need to ensure that we are prepared with a conscious approach. Using Ganesha as a deity before approaching the world is just an attempt to ensure that we are balanced, with clarity, and best prepared to approach the world with the right intent and intelligence. Ganesha, the deity, brings into our awareness the need to take conscious, intelligent actions if we are to craft our lives the way we want.
Therefore, Ganesha is our deity of communication and intelligence.
